Monday's Harvest

Spinach and beet greens went into a pot to quickly steam. The beet greens had a stronger taste than did the spinach so I think we won't use anymore of them that way. I'll let them grow the beets so we can juice them.

Snow peas, garlic scapes and lettuce went into a salad with ranch dressing. I hope the harvest of peas will pick up so I can use them in stir fry or steam them.

Lovely harvest of greens. I have never tasted beet greens.

Looks yummy. Our garlic has yet to scape.

Nice harvest! I also find beet greens a little too strong for may taste, I'll gladly eat them if I don't have any other green available, but only then.

Nice harvest. I noticed my garden has the scapes just starting right now. I can't wait until they get a touch bigger to pick.

I don't eat many beet greens either. Sometimes a few of the tiny new growth but that's it. Chard on the other hand is really good.
